Hi! I’m Jordan, author of The Simple Foodie, and I have a question for you…
Do you ever have those days when you have no idea what to make for dinner?
Those days when all you have in your fridge is a bunch of condiments, some old leftovers, and a partial carton of milk?
I’ve had those days.
But something changed…
A few years ago I decided to make cooking more of a priority in my life. I always enjoyed cooking but I wasn’t making an effort to actually plan and cook.
So I got started.
And you know what? I had fun. Lots of fun.
Not only was it fun…
By making cooking a priority in my life I wasn’t bored eating the same things all the time. I was excited for dinner and I started feeling healthier.
I’ll be honest — it does take some planning, shopping, and dirty dishes.
But to me, cooking is worth the effort.
For health reasons, financial reasons, environmental reasons or, heck, just as a fun activity to do as a family or with friends.
So what is The Simple Foodie about?
It’s about inspiration. To start cooking. To make dinner with your family. To try a new recipe. To share a meal with friends. To give you confidence to step in the kitchen and make some delicious food.
What will you find on The Simple Foodie?
You’ll find a variety of tasty, mostly healthy recipes. I try to create recipes that are easy to prepare and use ingredients that aren’t impossible to find.
You’ll also find some helpful tips and how-tos so you can become a master chef in your own kitchen.
More about Jordan:
I love apple pie and a good cup of coffee. Together or separate. Doesn’t matter. I sprinkle Parmesan on 92% of my dinners. BBQ chips are my guilty pleasure. And so is dark chocolate. But that’s healthy, right?
I love a good, soul-refreshing heart to heart. I’m happiest when I’m outside or with family and friends. Creating recipes makes my heart light up and so does my husband, Will. He makes me laugh; I make him yummy food. It works for us.
I’m an Oklahoma girl but now live in Wisconsin. I eat more cheese than I ever have before and have a new obsession with snow boots. I don’t have a dishwasher, I love to dance and I hope you like my recipes. :)
